Reasearch interest
  • During his master and doctorate studies he had been working with fish, carp and zebrafish, as animal models to investigate several biological phenomena, such as the ones related to immune system and sensory/nervous system as well as tissue regeneration. He is intended to perform biomedical research using zebrafish, especially on the tropical diseases. The current topics that he will develop including small molecules screening from marine algae that have potency in inducing and inhibiting tissue regeneration and also natural product discovery for disease treatments associated with nervous, vascular and immune systems. He will use zebrafish for in vivo study in combination with animal tissue culture for in vitro study.
