Ringkasan

Prof. Dr. Agus Dana Permana is currently focuses on the research with beneficial insects, such as pollinator of oil palm (Elaeidobius kamerunicusk), and various bees, including stingless bees, pollinator ecology. Black soldier fly/BSF (Hermetia illucens), previously, he has done number of projects on the identification and field test of sex pheromone of several insects pests (Integradted Pest Management). His expertise also covers entomopathogenic (fungi, bacteria and viruses) and several botanical insecticides (Neem extract); Ecology, and Physiology of insect, for example the effect of thyroxin on the cocoon of Bombyx mori.

Over 15 years, he has been principal investigator on several grants and contracts i.e. Research Project from Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency; Soil analysis for oil palm plantation in Boven Digul and Fak-fak, Papua (PT Genting Oil, Malaysia); Bioconversion of Beef Manure by BSF; Microbiome of Oil Palm Flower for Attractant of E. kamerunicus; Pollinator of oil palm (Elaeidobius kamerunicus) in Kumai, South Kalimantan (Astra Agro Lestari); Kedaireka Project in Lembang; Transfer technology of utilization of BSF for organic fertilizer (PT. PUPUK KALTIM); Land suitability and Utilization of BSF for aquaculture in Gresik (SAKA Energi-PGN); Biodiversity study in Nani Bogani Wartabone National Park, Gorontalo; Ecological study of mine land in Sorowako, South Sulawesi; Study of flora and fauna at Tomini Bay, Gorontalo.
