Overview
The research fields that have been carried out are related to silviculture, tree improvement, and forest tree seed. During my doctoral program, I studied about the flowering and fruiting period of local trees, characterization of seed production and dispersal of local tree species in mount Masigit-Kareumbi area. All of my research subjects are primarily intended to design of forest restoration strategies.The silviculture of native tree species for forest restoration purposes is still limited. Forest tree seed aspects as intrinsic factor in supporting restoration program are productivity of seed (such as : flowering and fruiting season, production and morphological characteristics of fruit/seed), physical and physiological quality of seeds as well as the ability of seed dispersal to colonize the degraded areas. The design of forest restoration strategies using seed source-based nucleation concept can be developed as an alternative to restore degraded forest areas. This concept is expected to ensure the availability of local tree seeds for natural regeneration, and promote other natural processes so that the restoration program take place faster

- The areas of research that have been carried out are related to silviculture, tree improvement, and forest tree seedlings. During my doctoral program, I studied the flowering and fruiting periods of local trees, the characteristics of seed production and the distribution of local tree species in the Mount Masigit-Kareumbi area. All my research subjects are primarily aimed at designing forest restoration strategies. Silviculture of native tree species for forest restoration purposes is still limited. Aspects of forest tree seeds as intrinsic factors in supporting restoration programs are seed productivity (such as flowering and fruiting seasons, production and morphological characteristics of fruit/seeds), physical and physiological quality of seeds and the ability of seeds to spread to colonize degraded areas. The design of a forest restoration strategy with the concept of nucleation based on seed sources can be developed as an alternative for restoring degraded forest areas. It is hoped that this concept can guarantee the availability of local tree seeds for natural regeneration, and encourage other natural processes so that the restoration program can take place more quickly.
