About IC-OMICS 2026

Conference in Brief:

The International Conference on Multi-Omics in Life Sciences 2026 (IC-OMICS 2026) is an international scientific forum organized by the School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

Conference Objectives:

  • Provide an international platform for presenting and discussing advances in multi-omics research and applications
  • Foster interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration across genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, phenomics, and bioinformatics
  • Promote the translation of multi-omics research into sustainable innovations in health, agriculture, bioindustry, and environmental sciences
  • Strengthen research capacity and knowledge dissemination, particularly for early-career researchers and students
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships among academia, industry, government institutions, and other stakeholders
Foto Scope and Topics
SCOPES AND TOPICS

Advances in multi-omics technologies have transformed the way complex biological systems are studied by enabling the integrated analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and phenomics. By capturing multiple molecular layers simultaneously, multi-omics approaches provide a more comprehensive and systems-level understanding of biological processes, disease mechanisms, and organismal responses to environmental and technological interventions.

The integration of multi-omics has become increasingly essential in addressing global challenges across health, agriculture, bioindustry, and environmental sciences. These approaches support the identification of biomarkers, discovery of therapeutic targets, optimization of biological production systems, and development of sustainable innovations driven by data-intensive and computational methodologies. As multi-omics continues to evolve rapidly, interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange are critical to translating scientific insights into real-world applications.

Building upon the successful of previous ICOMICS 2022 the School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), is organizing the International Conference on Multi-Omics in Life Sciences as an in-person global forum for researchers, practitioners, industry representatives, and policymakers. Guided by the motto Integrative Multi-omics for Sustainable Innovation in Health, Agriculture, and Environment,” this conference aims to strengthen interdisciplinary networks, promote the application of multi-omics research across diverse life science domains, and facilitate scientific exchange through plenary sessions, parallel scientific sessions, and poster presentations featuring cutting-edge research and applications.

The conference will be held on 8–9 July 2026 and seeks to foster strategic partnerships and contribute to the advancement of sustainable and innovative solutions in life sciences at both national and international levels.

About The Venue

The West and East Auditorium of the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) represent a profound architectural legacy. Commissioned in 1918 and designed by Ir. Henri Maclaine Pont, these structures are celebrated for their pioneering synthesis of traditional Indonesian vernacular and Western construction techniques. The iconic tiered rooflines and timber joinery reflect a harmonious blend of local heritage and modern engineering.

Throughout their century-long history, the authenticity and original functions of these buildings have been meticulously preserved. Today, the West and East Auditorium continue to serve as the symbolic heart of the Ganesha campus, bridging the university’s historical foundations with its ongoing pursuit of excellence.
