As a Biology student at SITH ITB, I had the invaluable opportunity to join a student exchange program at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. This experience significantly broadened my academic perspective, particularly in understanding how biological sciences are approached through interdisciplinary and research-driven learning in an international setting.
Beyond academics, living and studying in Japan enhanced my independence, cross-cultural communication skills, and adaptability. Engaging with students and professors from diverse backgrounds motivated me to think more critically and globally about my field of study. The exchange program was not only a milestone in my academic journey, but also a transformative personal experience that shaped my aspirations for future research and international collaboration.

My journey as a Bioengineering student at SITH ITB became even more meaningful when I joined a student exchange program at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Studying abroad also strengthened my independence, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills. Being part of the student exchange program at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, was a remarkable milestone in my journey as a Bioengineering student at SITH ITB. The experience allowed me to explore innovative research environments, gain new academic perspectives, and deepen my understanding of how bioengineering is applied in global contexts.
Beyond the classroom, living in Japan helped me develop resilience, independence, and strong intercultural communication skills.
