This study explores the metabolite composition and antioxidant potential of Syzygium vrieseanum (Miq.) Amshoff, a critically endangered plant species native to Indonesia. Using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS analyses, identified a variety of bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, terpenoids and fatty acids. The methanolic extract showed notable antioxidant activity through DPPH and FRAP assays, indicating its strong free radical scavenging capability. These findings highlight S. vrieseanum as a promising source of natural antioxidants with potential applications in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.
